Hon. Bob McEwen Edorses C. Mason Weaver for Congress
Says Weaver Understands Less Government, Strong Defense Means More Freedom to Prosper
Cincinnati, OH – Former Ohio Congressman Bob McEwen has endorsed C. Mason Weaver for California’s 53rd Congressional District, saying that Weaver has an intrinsic understanding of what America needs in order to achieve a full economic recovery and sovereignty.
“For generations, our forefathers poured into America because it offered the freedom and rewarded the ability to work hard and achieve success,” said McEwen. “For the past 20 years, Mr. Weaver has advanced the principles of less government, less taxes, strong defense and traditional, family values.
“We need C. Mason Weaver in Washington, D.C. because not only does he have the character to make the hard decisions about what is right, but he understands that in order for Americans to increase their standard of living, they need more freedom to be able to make choices that will determine their economic future,” said McEwen. “He understands that the wealth of a nation depends upon a governmental system that respects individuals who create wealth.”
Mr. Weaver said that he is pleased to be endorsed by McEwen.
“Mr. McEwen has distinguished himself as an able negotiator who has worked for the passage of legislation critical to the national security of our country,” said Weaver. “I am proud that I can count on his support as I work in our nation’s capitol to free the entrepreneurial spirit and protect our sovereignty.”
McEwen served three terms in the Ohio General Assembly as a senior Republican on the Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee, and six terms representing Ohio in the United States House of Representatives, where he served in the Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committee on Rules. An articulate diplomat in domestic and international affairs, he also represented the United States in discussions with European Parliament, facilitating dialogue in the Balkans, and as an observer of the historical Warsaw, Poland election that led to the collapse of Soviet dominion. He is currently Senior Advisor of the nationally recognized law firm of Greenebaum, Doll & McDonald.
