California Assemblywoman Diane Harkey Endorsed C. Mason Weaver for Congress

ALISO VIEJO, CA– California Assemblywoman Diane Harkey endorsed C. Mason Weaver at the Aliso Viejo Republican Women Federated monthly dinner meeting Thursday, January 28th. Weaver is a candidate for Congress in California’s 53rd District.

Harkey was elected to California’s 73rd District, a district representing communities in both Orange and San Diego counties, in 2008. Recognized for her 30 years of financial expertise in corporate finance and banking, Harkey was selected to lead Republicans in the State Assembly on solvency strategies and charged with crafting fiscally-responsible solutions to address California’s cash flow problems.

“Mason is inspirational, expressing our values with candor and honor,” said Harkey. “He is a great American and I am honored to support him to represent me in the United States Congress.”

In Harkey’s first year in the Assembly, she voted to support pro-taxpayer legislation and voted against the largest tax increase in California’s state history.

Weaver shares Harkey’s pro-taxpayer position. “The American people should be able to keep what they earn,” said Weaver. “Permanent tax cuts for citizens and the encouragement of competition in the marketplace will spur economic growth immediately.”

Other politicians endorsing Weaver in his candidacy are Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, candidate for California senate and the Honorable Bob McEwen, former U.S. Congressman, House of Representatives, 6th Congressional District of Ohio.
